Meet Professional Duck Wrangler Katy Calabrese

I’ve spent far too many hours, days, weeks, and years faking perfection and clawing my way up the corporate ladder. I’ve been there, done that, and have fallen flat on my face more than I can count.

I could roll out the red carpet here and stand center stage in the spotlight as I list out all of the awards and accolades, the milestones and achievements that have come from my twenty years of experience in high-stakes sales, corporate marketing, and entrepreneurship, but when push comes to shove, here’s all you need to know about me, courtesy of my 11-year old son, Jake.

“Mom, you make people feel like they belong in this world.”

This is what I’m all about. And that means you.

Family First

This may come as a bit of a surprise, but I’m an extroverted introvert. I love nothing more than crashing at home with my husband, Matt, 11-year-old twin sons, Ben & Jake, 21-year-old daughter, Emily, and our giant wannabe-chihuahua 150lb. dog/chicken named Gambit. We’re a family of super nerds that love old-school video games, silly animal videos, and Marvel movies. After giving away far too many moments with my daughter to my work early in my career, I’m committed to not making the same mistakes twice, so you’re more likely to find me on the soccer field than in the board room these days.

I love yoga, and I love Jesus, not in that order! I am happiest when I am teaching or studying the Bible, which recently sparked a new adventure as I headed back to school to get my Diploma in Ministry Leadership at Ascent College. I volunteer to facilitate small group Bible studies for the women in my church and will be heading to Israel in 2023 to train to lead future groups on Holy Land tours. My faith is the keystone to how I live and love. I believe everyone deserves to feel seen, heard, loved, respected and welcomed to belong in a vibrant community that celebrates the beauty of diversity.

Personal Mission Statement Katy Calabrese

To use my journey and the story of how God filled the fractures of my shattered past to shine light in dark places and breathe life into the broken, inspiring those I shepherd to hope in the Lord and step forward in faith.

Personal Reference Katy Calabrese

Working with Katy has been even more impressive than I anticipated. We were first introduced when I was planning a team-building exercise for my team – Both that retreat and Katy turned out to be so much more than I could have imagined.

I have a deep desire to stay professionally organized while also living out my mission to build purposeful relationships with each team member. Katy has helped me achieve a level of organization and overall visibility on my business and my people that has allowed me to release being hyper-focused and instead follow a more intentional “deep/wide” perspective and rhythm that has improved my life, our company culture, and our individual and collective success.

Her natural ability to organize and articulate roles and job descriptions have moved my big vision into manageable steps. She has assessed the skills and passions of my team and continues to help me build each member’s role and responsibility to align with their talents, interests, and future goals.

The staff quickly recognized Katy’s genuine enthusiasm for the whole team and has allowed her to become a part of our team. They look forward to her visits and enjoy when she hosts our quarterly team meetings.

What it has done for me – Well, I didn’t think I could be this organized and supported, for starters. Beyond that, what seemed like a far-fetched dream, Katy has helped me see and organize steps to make it a reality. Not only do I have a marketing team to support me every step of the way, I feel as if I have my own HR Department with Katy at the helm. Katy is guiding me to build a corporate infused with faith and heart!
